Declutter does not use standard tracking cookies or third-party promotional beacons. Instead, we use local browser web storage mechanisms strictly to operate layout customizer configurations securely.

1. Use of Browser LocalStorage

To persistently remember which website elements you choose to hide, move, or dock, the Extension utilizes your browser's native `localStorage` and `chrome.storage.local` APIs. This storage is partitioned by domain name and remains strictly on your hardware.

2. Security & Erasure

Because all website parameters reside on your browser, you have absolute control over their lifecycle. You can delete all customized layout parameters instantly by:

  • Clicking the 'Reset Layout' button inside the Extension overlay.
  • Clearing your browser's site cookies and local storage database.
  • Uninstalling the Extension from your browser profile.

3. No Advertising Cookies

We believe advertising cookies are intrusive. The Declutter platform does not inject advertising beacons or cross-site promotional parameters into your browser viewport, keeping your digital workspace clean and secure.
